In 1991, Isadora Pastragus was invited to play in a series of concerts in France. "An entire city of music lovers applauded “La petite Roumaine” fascinated by the strong personality of the young pianist who played Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Scarlatti, Liszt and Prokofiev with virtuosity and self-control. Having left Iasi, Romania, where she started her musical education at the age of 4, Isadora is already now a complete musician. Huge posters with her name announced Isadora’s recitals in Boulogne, Lille, Marcq en Baroeul and Cambrai, France. It seemed as if she was confirming the well-known words of Marcel Proust that “if the words had not existed, the music would be the only way of communication between souls”. Isadora Pastragus’s talent strengthened the conviction that the music is indeed a “refuge of the spirits infused with unhappiness”.
